Amy Hinterberger

Amy Hinterberger is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Warwick.

She is also an Associate Fellow in BioProperty at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS) at the University of Oxford.

She received her PhD from the BIOS Centre for the Study of Bioscience, Biomedicine, Biotechnology and Society and the Department of Sociology at the London School of Economics (LSE). Her work engages with the contemporary life sciences, particularly biomedicine and genetics. She has recently published in the journals Theory, Culture and Society and Science as Culture. Her research has been supported by the Brocher Foundation, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT), University of London, Foundation for the Sociology of Health and Illness, and the Department of Sociology at LSE.
