Allison Stewart

Allison Stewart is a DPhil student at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society and is supervised by Professor Steve Rayner and Professor Bent Flyvbjerg of the BT Centre for Major Programme Management. Her research will focus on learning from failure in planning mega-events such as the Olympics, which will build on her MSc research on incidents of project failure in consulting organisations. Allison completed her MSc in Management Research at Oxford's Saïd Business School where she received the Dean’s certificate for best overall performance in the MSc, was jointly awarded the Dan Gowler prize for best MSc dissertation, and received the prize for best poster presentation in the MSc as judged by faculty and peers.

Allison is also a Tutor in Management at Christ Church, teaching Introduction to Management to Economics and Management undergraduate students. She earned an undergraduate degree in commerce and organisational psychology from McGill University in Canada, following which she worked in the consulting industry for several years. In her consulting career, she worked at a number of global consulting organisations including Deloitte and Accenture, focussing on organisation design and change management for private and public sector.
